Chatterley Pens / Stipula Bertinoro Imperio Limited Edition Fountain Pen

From Firenze and the Italian Pen manufacturer Stipula, and the creative mind at Chatterley Pens comes a custom pen with a 14kt gold nib. This celluloid is an instant classic! The depth and complexity of the celluloid is unparallel. The clip was inspired by the column of Bertinoro.

Bertinoro is known for its hospitality. An interesting feature here is the 13th century Colonna Delle Anella. Visiting traders were the main source of news, so the main families would argue constantly about who had precedence to offer shelter to travelers. The Column of Hospitality, or “of the Rings”, solved this problem: visiting travelers would tie their horse to one of the rings, and the family “owning” that ring had the right to offer hospitality to that traveler. This tradition remained for centuries, and is still repeated annually on the first weekend in September.

Equipped with Stipulas’ in-house piston system, and limited to 6 pens worldwide, the balance and shape of the Imperio are remarkable. This fine writing instrument is accented with three smooth rings on the cap below the clip and a wide ring on the section where it meets the barrel, unseen until the cap is unscrewed. This trim was done in 925 Sterling Silver, and it compliments the blue hues brilliantly.  Available in F, M or 1.1 Stub, the MSRP on this pen is $1495
