The 149, a pen most everyone knows and recognizes as Montblancs flagship pen. This pen is made out of celluloid and has the two silver rings on outside of the band. The pen uses a telescoping piston filler. Its engraved with the “149” on the blind cap. It does not have a nib grade engraved on it. The trim on this pen is amazing. Both cap rings and clip are almost perfect, as if the pen was brand new. There are no dents or marks on either, which is quite rare for these pens. Many that I have handled and seen have some marks. The nib is an Oblique Broad stubbish nib, with great flex. Quite a nib and very fun to use. Plating on the nib is perfect as well. Star is beautiful, all in all an excellent example.
The 149 rings are becoming harder and harder to find. And to find one in such great condition is gem for sure.
