This is a very special Aurora set and are thrilled to offer it.
Created in 2003 to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the founding of Saint Petersburg, Aurora produced the Saint Petersburg fountain pen in two colors: a translucent blue and a warm coral lacquer. Each color was limited to only 300 fountain pens worldwide.
This set brings the two together, and both bear the matching limited edition number 100/300. Both pens  have Medium nibs. But other nibs can be swapped, contact us to find out what options we have.
Even more remarkable, these are true new old stock. The pens came directly from our Aurora distributor, where they had remained stored in their safe since the original release more than two decades ago.
Both pens are crafted from solid silver with hand-cut guilloché beneath multiple layers of translucent lacquer. One is finished in deep blue, while the second uses a beautiful coral lacquer that takes on warm salmon and bronze tones as the light moves across the guilloché beneath it.
The solid silver rings are worked in relief with the coat of arms of Russia and the heraldic shield of Saint Petersburg, with an additional solid silver insert at the top of the cap. It is an elaborate design and one that captures the Imperial Russian inspiration behind the edition beautifully.
Each fountain pen is fitted with an 18kt gold Aurora nib and uses Aurora’s traditional piston-filling system.
Individually, the Saint Petersburg has become a difficult Aurora Limited Edition to find in new condition. Finding both colors together is considerably more unusual. Finding both as new old stock, directly from the distributor and carrying the exact same limited edition number, makes this set something exceptional.
