Aogai include Silver Lipped Pearl Oyster Shell, Blue Abalone Shell, Nautilus Shell and Great Green Turban Shell used intricately in Maki-e Lacquer Art. The shiny, burnished finish is achieved through the use of Togidashi Maki-e.
