Loiminchay Patrick Babe Carbon Fiber Limited Edition Rollerball Pen
This pen is pre-owned and in perfect condition, but does not have a working refill. It does not come with box or papers.
For Patrick Chu, creation is an end in itself, so he is willing to take the necessary risks to produce “pens I want to own,” he says of his new line of Patrick pens.
Heretofore perhaps best known as the founder and designer of Loiminchay writing instruments, Chu is a pen collector at heart and intuitively understands what inspires others in the art of pen making. He has earned a reputation within his Loiminchay line for creating designs that, while classic, are completely fresh, using materials that are high quality—and unusual.
But like most artists. Chu is always looking to the future, absorbing trends and creating new ones. “I share my thoughts through my work,” he says. To hear him tell it, the new Patrick pens actually stemmed from the stereo speaker side of his corporate family tree and represent a new direction for him, one that is modern and “simple” like the name. “I wanted to take a chance, to dream” Chu shares.
Produced in Italy, the Carbon Fiber Babe pen, has the same sleek lines and an arte- rial burst of color of Patrick’s Babe.
Part of the body features carbon fiber inlay, which is extremely lightweight and strong. Carbon fiber is an expensive material, but has a fantastic weight-to-strength ratio. It is currently the best material that our civilization can produce in quantities. The material is employed in high-quality products, including Formula One race cars.
