Montblanc 149 Celluloid Silver Rings Fountain Pen
This pen, from the late 1950’s, is lovingly used with some minor scratches on the body and cap from use throughout the years. It comes complete with a box and papers and is equipped with an 18C tri-color #8 Medium Nib. It fills via a Piston Filling System. The pen is a fantastic example of one of the most collectable Vintage Montblanc’s. We have included a writing sample.
These Celluloid with Silver ringed 149s were made in the 1950s. This particular model was made in the late 50s.
- Imprints – 149 imprint is clear
- Nib – Bouncy wet medium, excellent flow, 149 #8 Oversize 18C Tri-color
- Window – Amber with some slight staining
- Montblanc emblem Star – slight discoloration with a small mark on arm
- Feed – Round Ebonite
- Filling – Telescopic Piston Filler, no threads
- Trim – Silver rings are tarnished but left to show the patina
- Box – Some writing on the outer box (see last 2 images)
