The Cleopatra is made with Celluloid all through out the pen. The Celluloid is turned from a solid bar of green and black to flow through the whole pen. Celluloid is still to this day, one of the hardest materials to use in manufacturing with its unstable state. It’s very flammable while in the curing process which last from years to decades.
The filling system is the same system used in the DaVinci line of Stipula pens. These pens also feature a retractable nib unit in the same fashion. The nib is Stipula’s T-Flex titanium nib, and the clip is remarkable. Made from the technique of wax molding, the clip resembles that of a snake, but it is not one solid piece. In this way the clip is able to move a little to allow the user to actually use the clip. This pen has a remarkable feel and balance to it whilst in your hand. It is a balance unlike most pens out there. Its very comfortable pen to handle.
MSRP on this pen is $695
