AP Limited Edition Zodiac Horses Maki-e Fountain Pen
The Zodiac is made on an Ebonite base, then with Black Urushi and Maki-e in the styles Togidashi and Hira. The artist who created this pen is named Ikki Moroike.
Urushi is the sap of the Urushi tree, native to Japan and has an opaque translucency to it. It can be mixed with natural pigments to produce only a select set of colors like Yellow, Black, Red, Brown and Green.
