This pen is pre-owned, but in like-new condition other than some slight tarnishing on the top part of the cap (last image). It comes complete with a box and papers and is equipped with a 14k Magic Flex Gatsby Engraved #8 nib. It fills via a Pneumatic Filling System. This pen is the #1 in the series of 22.
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” captured the spirit, decadence, and luxury of the 1920’s as perhaps no other literary work ever has. Fittingly enough, the 1920’s were also the beginning of the golden age of fountain pens. ASC’s new Bologna Gatsby limited editions, in both Extra and Medio sizes, are themselves created in handcrafted celluloid, the luxury fountain pen material of choice during that time period. Just 44 numbered pieces in each size are being produced.
In addition to the 14k solid gold nib, each pen features a high capacity compressor filling system, art deco style engraved rings, and an ebonite feed.
