Montblanc Great Characters James Dean Limited Edition 1931 Fountain Pen
This pen is brand new with box and papers.
James Byron Dean (1931 – 1955) was an American actor and a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, exemplified by the title of his most celebrated film, “Rebel Without a Cause” (1955), in which he starred as troubled teenager Jim Stark. The overall shape of this writing instrument is inspired by the switchblade James Dean uses in the film “Rebel Without a Cause”. The cap in precious wood is also inspired by this same scene. The pattern on the Ag 925 sterling silver barrel takes its inspiration from the engine engraving on his favorite sports car, while his famous quote “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today” is also engraved onto the barrel. This edition is limited to 1931 pieces in reference to the year of his birth.
