Namiki by Pilot Yukari Kabuto Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Using traditional techniques of Togidashi Taka (burnished, raised maki-e), Namiki artist, Michifumi Kawaguchi, has created a special pen to commemorate the Japanese holiday, Tango no Sekku.
The pen showcases the kabuto, the traditional Japanese military helmet which is often displayed on this holiday. Originating during the Edo period in Japan, this helmet was traditionally worn by samurai as a symbol of strength and good health.
The tachi, or sword, is pictured alongside the helmet. Raden is inlaid on the dome of the kabuto. Raden and gold powder are also sprinkled throughout, adding to the vibrancy of this limited edition pen.
A uniquely designed softwood inner presentation box surrounds this pen. Lined with royal purple fabric and tied together with a royal purple rope, the architectural packaging completes the elegance of the Namiki Yukari Kabuto Limited Edition fountain pen.
