Inspired by the mesmerising colours and endless movement of the ocean, the Pelikan Souverän M800 Indian Ocean captures the beauty of nature in an extraordinary writing instrument. Deep ocean blue and vibrant golden yellow intertwine in an expressive, flowing pattern, evoking sunlight shimmering across the surface of the sea and the mysterious depths beneath it.

Indian Ocean marks the beginning of a new journey for Pelikan. This new series invites you to discover the beauty of the world’s oceans through exceptional writing instruments, each inspired by the distinctive character of a different ocean. Every two years, a new ocean will be revealed, creating an ongoing journey across the world’s waters and celebrating their diversity, beauty and mystery.

At the heart of the Indian Ocean lies an exceptional acrylic material whose vibrant blue and golden yellow composition creates remarkable depth and luminosity. Its flowing pattern evokes the movement of the sea, while the individual composition of each piece ensures that every writing instrument has its own distinctive character. No two patterns are exactly alike.

The material is finished with a brilliant polish that enhances its depth and allows the colors to interact beautifully with the light. Depending on the individual color composition and the way light moves across the barrel, the piston mechanism may subtly reveal itself beneath the surface, like a hidden treasure glimpsed beneath the sea. This delicate interplay of color, transparency and light creates new details to discover from every angle.

Pelikan’s renowned attention to detail ensures a harmonious balance between the
