Stanford Pen Studio Jabulani Bountiful Bluff Hand-Painted Fountain Pen

This pen is lovingly used and does not come with a box or papers. It is equipped with a Steel Broad nib and fills via Cartridge Converter (included).

From Stanford Pen Studio:

Bountiful Bluff has all the elements that originally made Hanna Farmer’s doodles on fountain pens so popular: there are whales, a whale held aloft by multiple hot air balloons, a town built on the cliffs overlooking the sea, an underwater seascape with shells and kelp and starfish, and tiny details in the town including salted fish hanging out to dry. The more one looks, the more one sees! This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and zendoodled by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a silver section ring, cap band and a logo medallion in the cap finial, and we have added a custom-made grip section in a deep marine green material. Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art, hence no-one else will ever own an identical pen.

Hanna Farmer

Hanna has loved drawing since she was little and doodles have been her favourite art form. Through studying graphic design and working as a draftsperson her style became more structured while retaining its whimsical character. Hanna is a prolific artist and when she is zendoodling on to pens she often draws with a pen that is 0,12 mm (0,004 inches) thick.

Jabulani Model

‘Jabulani’ means ‘Rejoice’ in Zulu, which is exactly what we feel about this fountain pen model. It is gently curvaceous, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 11 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their art. We make all our fountain pen and rollerball pen bodies in-house. Once the pen body has been painted or illustrated we coat it in a layer of clear resin to protect the artwork from being damaged during day-to-day use, making it a portable work of art.

Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap screws on to the barrel and is flush with the barrel. As with all our pens the cap does not post as this is an art pen and with repeated posting the threads could leave a mark on the clear coating covering the artwork. The Jabulani model comes with a hand-crafted cap band and section ring in either argentium silver or bronze, depending on which of these materials best suits the artwork.
