Visconti Divina Midi Metropolitan Fountain Pen – Green
This pen is pre-owned, but like new. Its in excellent condition. It does have a bit of tarnish on the silver, which is very common. It has a Fine nib and comes with box and papers.
Visconti takes two of it’s popular designs and combines them into one beautiful pen. The Wall Street celluloid has been used on several models throughout the years. It now comes to you in the midi Divina size pen. Introducing The Metropolitan.
This Divina Midi is based off of the Divine Proportions Limited Edition Fountain Pen. It keeps true to that same ratio or proportions determined by Phi (1.618…) also known as the Gold or Divine Proportion.
Making this pen was a daunting task, requiring much thought into how exactly to inlay the sterling silver. Inlay’s can sometimes be much more difficult than overlay’s. In addition to how to do it, Visconti had to take into consideration the fact that the pen spirals around in a very symmetrical proportion, and is made of a solid piece of material. There is a Midi version, which is this one, and a Maxi version of this pen. Here is a video on how they made the Maxi, whilst the making of the Midi would be very much the same.
The pen is made out of true celluloid and Sterling Silver inlay spiraling around the whole pen. They are fitted with 23k palladium plated nibs. Available in EF, F, M and B. The Visconti Divina Midi uses a very unique and stable “Push Pull Piston Filler.”
