Visconti Saint Basil Fountain Pen
In homage to this Russian icon and World Heritage site, Visconti has created a limited edition pen in celebration of the extraordinary Saint Basil Cathedral in Moscow.
Visconti created the St. Basil Limited Edition from multi-hued celluloid to evoke the colors of the famed cathedral. Cured for five years, the celluloid is enrobed with a finely engraved 3-D cut out, carved directly into the celluloid in AG 925 Vermeil and topped with a genuine ruby gemstone. The oversize dimensions emulate the shape of the cathedral like the flame of a bonfire rising into sky. The round body and octagonal cap were inspired by the shape of the towers. The design of the central band is based on the interior of the church and has the exact proportions and symmetries of this unique space.
This limited edition pen is presented in a solid wood, see-through display box – finely cut by hand and covered with two layers of 14Kt gold leaf. Limited to 561 fountain pens worldwide.
