The Chateau Shinogi Prototype Collection showcases the artwork of Shawn Newton and the innovative use of Juma® resin, a unique material originally developed as a substitute for ivory and antler, known for its biophilic, scale-like appearance. Featured in four color ways: Ivory, Laguna Blue, Magma and Dragon Gold, with a diamond-textured yellow gold band. Being prototypes, there is only one of each of these fountain pens.
They are had made by Shawn Newton including hand made Knurled Brass Rings. The nibs are Bock #8 with Ebonite Feeds.
The standout is the Ivory, which features a 14k rose gold nib with a ceramic Chateau logo inlay, while the Laguna Blue, Magma and Dragon Gold editions are each equipped with a 14k yellow gold nib with an etched Chateau logo. In addition, all of the nibs also feature a Chateau logo breather hole.
The fountain pens utilize a Cartridge converter or eye dropper filling system.
