Known as a period of decadence, beauty, and art-come-to-life, the Art Nouveau movement was a period in European art history that tested the limits of the design themes that dominated the 19th Century.
Inspired by feminized beauty and the kinetic movement within the natural world, the Art Nouveau style became an international art form with each country putting their own spin on the design principles.
Our latest edition of the Estie, Nouveau Bleu, approaches the Art Nouveau design vis-à -vis the lens of France’s Belle Époque. Rich blues intermingle with subtle golds to create a divine mixture of romantic beauty and artistic function.
To best represent this period, we commissioned graphic artist Debra Dick to create her interpretation of the Belle Époque style through French artist Alphonse Mucha.
