This pen is lovingly used and has box and papers.  This pen has a broad nib. The pen is in excellent condition with one exception. It has some slight plating loss on the breather hole.

Scipione Borghese (September 1, 1577 – October 2,1633) was an Italian Cardinal, art collector and patron of the arts. A member of the Borghese family, he was the patron of the painter Caravaggio and the artist Bernini. His legacy is the establishment of the art collection at the Villa Borghese in Rome, which serves as a monument to Roman interior decoration at its most extravagant and the finest collections of Baroque sculpture anywhere in the world.

The barrel is crafted of solid granite.  The cap and trims are brass with a ruthenium coating.  A smoky quartz stone is embedded in the clip.
