This is a rare prototype version of the OMAS Paragon Old Style Fountain Pen, crafted in the iconic Brown Arco celluloid and fitted with Hi-Tech rhodium trim. As a prototype, it represents a non-serialized, pre-release variation of OMAS’s historic faceted design—made even more collectible by its likely connection to OMAS’s final production years.
The pen is fitted with a 14k Extra Fine nib marked “90,” denoting OMAS’s 90th anniversary in 2015. It was likely produced at the same time as the limited edition 90th Anniversary fountain pen sets released that year, making this one of the final Old Style Paragons created before OMAS ceased operations in 2016.
The Brown Arco celluloid is among the most sought-after materials in fountain pen history, celebrated for its rich caramel tones, layered chatoyance, and dramatic flame patterning.
