Montblanc Vintage #12 Oversized Fountain Pen
This is a pretty rare fountain pen. In the 1920s when this was made, pens were not so much bought to collect, but they were a necessity. Big pens were not made as much because that’s not what people wanted. Even today, by todays standards of massive pens, they still do not hold a candle to the sheer size of this beast.
It has a massive #12 flexible nib. This pen is fully restored by Osman Sumer and is 100% correct. The BHR (Black Hard Rubber) has some slight fading and the cap threads slip a bit but the cap still screws on securely. All in all, 10 being a mint, perfect example, this is a 7.5. No issues whatsoever, but it was not kept in a safe for 100 years. Pictured below for comparison is a modern Montblanc 149.
