Sailor Hummingbird Maki-e Raden Limited Edition Fountain Pen #18/20 with Bespoke Naginata Togi Special Nib
Up for sale is a rare pen. I don’t use that term often, but in this case, there was only 20 of these pens made. This pen is pre-owned, but is like brand new. The owner then bought a 1911 Bespoke pen and sacrificed it to use the nib on this pen. The pen comes with that 1911 box and so now it has the Naginata Togi Medium Fine nib. Â
The Sailor Naginata-Togi nibs have a rounded tipping that provides variable line width, depending on the angle of the pen to the paper. The lower the angle, the broader the line. The Sailor Naginata-Togi nibs have generous ink flow, and write very smoothly across the page. Please note that the nib designation (MF, M, B) refers to the line width when the pen is in a fully vertical writing position. All Naginata-Togi write a double broad width in a normal writing position.
