Visconti Divina HRH Fountain Pen Set
In 1997 Visconti dedicated a special version of the Taj Mahal limited edition, with over 8 karats of diamonds, to Princess Diana and called the pen HRH (Her Royal Highness).
Since that time “HRH” is the diamond collection of Visconti limited editions, and represents the highest expression in jewelry expertise applied to a pen. This set is a one of one set. Its numbered 0/60, but none of them were ever made but just this once. The amount of time and money that was put into the creation of the set made it not feasible to make it an edition that was possible to be put in production.
Two of the pens are in Silver trims;
The first Sterling one encrusted with 480 rubies pigeon red color for a total of 6,5ct.
The second Sterling one is encrusted with 480 topaz for a total of more than 6,5ct.
The third pen has Solid 18Kt solid white gold trims (26gr of pure 24ct gold). It has a nib cover in solid white gold (8gr of 24ct gold) encrusted with over 50 white diamonds. Total amount of white diamonds on the pen is 7,35ct (VVS quality and G/H color) The nib cover can be removed as well for use. 🙂
Visconti Divine Proportions (Divina Proporzione) Fountain Pen set is based on the golden ratio, which according to the classical Greek sculptor Phidias contains the key of knowledge. The number is 1,618 and it corresponds to what is considered a “particularly aesthetic ratio.” This ratio occurs repeatedly in nature and in fact it defines the “ideal relation,” an arithmetic measure which is enjoyable for the eye, called also “golden mean proportion” or “golden section.”

Divine Proportion is without a doubt a masterpiece in design and technical innovation, and the HRH had to be with the same character. The magic was to transform a beautiful pen into the most luxurious writing instrument ever made, therefore the golden spiral became a diamond spiral, the clip is now decorated with a pave of diamonds, the top coin where there is usually the Visconti logo, is a globe of diamonds. The nib is also set with a nib cover with over 50 diamonds, making this pen a dazzling and unique masterpiece.
