Visconti introduces the Homo Sapiens Carbon Rose, the third chapter in its exploration of advanced materials and innovative design. Following the golden reflections of the Carbon Moiré and the deep blue tones of the Carbon Abyssus, this latest edition combines forged carbon with delicate rose-colored accents for an entirely new interpretation of the Homo Sapiens.
Limited to just 288 pieces worldwide, the Carbon Rose brings together sophisticated engineering, exceptional materials, and a distinctive aesthetic.
FORGED CARBON WITH ROSE ACCENTS
The exploration of unusual materials has long been part of the Homo Sapiens story, beginning with the introduction of volcanic lava. With the Carbon collection, Visconti turned to materials inspired by the world of Italian supercars, incorporating forged carbon into its writing instruments.
Forged carbon is a composite of carbon fiber fragments and resin, producing a lightweight yet durable material with a distinctive organic pattern. Unlike traditional woven carbon fiber, its irregular structure gives each pen its own unique appearance.
For the Carbon Rose, Visconti has incorporated pink-anodized aluminum alloy leaf directly into the composite. Delicate rose-colored veins flow through the dark carbon fibers, following their irregular contours and producing subtle reflections that change with the light.
The contrast between the deep black carbon and the warmer rose tones creates a beautiful sense of depth, with different details emerging as the pen is turned.
ADVANCED MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION
To complement the lightweight forged carbon body, Visconti has crafted the metal components from Ergal, a high-strength aluminum alloy also used in aerospace applications.
The Ergal fittings receive a rose-colored anodized finish that coordinates with the metallic veins throughout the carbon body. This creates a cohesive design while maintaining the exceptional lightness that distinguishes the Carbon collection.
The fountain pen features Visconti’s Double Reservoir Power Filler system, offering a substantial ink capacity and the ability to isolate the ink reservoir when needed.
A transparent central ink window allows the ink level to remain visible even when the pen is capped, integrating a practical feature directly into the design.
The enhanced magnetic cap closure provides a secure fit, while the 18kt rose gold nib completes the pen, matching the warm tones of the body and trim.
