Delta dedicates a bold new line of special writing instruments to the legal profession and its practitioners – LEX. Translated from Latin as “the law”, LEX is a tribute to the period of the introduction of written law in ancient Rome.
The distinctive look of the white limited edition series is achieved through the use of enamel coated Casein, a material first discovered in 1897. The vertical lines evoke the roman columns often associated with traditional courthouses and offset the hand-turned black rings. Metal trims are plated with rhodium whilst the scales of justice symbol in the black enamel is positioned on the top of the clip.
The fountain pen features Delta’s innovative fusion nib, a greek pattern fret on the steel trim and utilizes a button filler system. 754 BC is the year of the legendary founding of Rome, coinciding with this edition being limited to 754 pieces, the number signifying the period when Roman Law was created.
The LEX Limited Edition fountain pen has the Delta Fusion nib, made with a “plate” of gold over steel, it enhances the chemical-physical properties of ink, making it flow more smoothly.
