The Golden Carp is a symbol of good luck and prosperity usually depicts as a successful victory upon leaping beyond the waterfall. The stories went by saying that the carp becomes a dragon when it clears the waterfall.  Hence, the Japanese Carp, also known as Koi, is a very popular aquatic fish that are reared in ponds of Japanese gardens around the world for good reasons.

The Namiki Emperor Carp On WaterFall Fountain Pen is a fabulous collection because of the good omen it brings forth to the owner. Kirikane are evident on the rocks, a typical illustration of glimmer on the rocks. Gold dust were sprinkled on the foreground to create the glitter that looks like the Japanese nashiji pear to embellish the foreground on the pen. Taka maki-e and togidashi maki-e are used on the Golden Carp to give it a three dimensional view.
