Sailor King of Pens Iro-Miyabi Usukou Fountain Pen

The new Iro-Miyabi fountain pens are made of ebonite and lacquered using the traditional Ishime-nuri technique, which simulates the appereance of stones. The lacquer takes months to dry, and several lacquers have to be applied in order to obtain the desired final result. The colour of this Chitose-Midori pen represents youth, permanence and long life. Each Iro-Miyabi fountain pen is supplied in a Pauwlonia box, ink cartridges and a converter.
The King of Pens is introduced as the top of the range, developed as the symbol of Sailor’s technology, quality and writing perfection gained with the experience of over 100 years. Special attention has been given to the oversized 21k solid gold nib (the life and soul of the fountain pen), which provides top writing quality. The large sized pen is handcrafted from Ebonite, a naturally produced resin material requiring special production processes. Ebonite material is very warm to the touch and its rich elasticity and unique texture provides the ultimate comfort, quality and character to the product.
