Stipula Gaudi Casa Batllo Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Few years ago Stipula introduced the “Gaudì”, a first installment in its limited edition Etruria Architectural Collection. These fountain pens take their name from Antonio Gaudì, an architect from Catalonia, Spain, one of the most representative artists of Modernism and Art Nouveau, an artistic movement of the beginning of the 20th century. He is famous for his unique and highly individualistic style. His works are characterized by outstanding, irregular and fantastically intricate form. Some of his greatest works, have an almost hallucinatory and dream power. In his architectures he used a wide variety of materials from simple clay baked materials to stone, from ceramics to glass and iron and obtained from them the most expressive and astounding effects.
Stipula drew inspiration from one of the best known Gaudì’s buildings. The pen shape and details gently recall the building lines and style through a highly refined and excellent handcraft work. The colors have been recreated to resemble art the same way that Guadi used functional art in his work.
This pen is equipped with a 14kt gold nib. The nib grades available are Fine, Medium or 1.1 Stub. The filling system on this pen is Stipula’s in-house piston filling system. The pen is made of black polished resin and Vermeil hand painted trim.
The Stipula Antonio Gaudi Casa Batllo Limited Edition pen was first released in a limited edition run of 274 Fountain Pens with Vermeil trim and Titanium nibs, 274 with Silver trim and 14kt gold nibs, 274 with Vermeil trim and 14kt gold nibs, and 74 with Vermeil trim 14kt gold nibs and piston filling system.
This version here limited to 74 pens worldwide and employs a piston filling system to accompany the 14kt gold nib and vermeil trim.
