Tamenuri Studio Maki-e “Autumn” Fountain Pen
This pen is lovingly used and comes with a box but no papers. It is equipped with a 14k Fine nib and fills via cartridge convertor (included).
Taka maki-e on nashiji base. Nashiji is a transparent yellowish lacquer used for layers in maki-e and other techniques, frequently with metal powders. The color is derived from Gamboge, a partially transparent deep saffron to mustard yellow pigment used in art and medicine. This pear-skin effect can be achieved (nashiji-nuri), using metal powders, making them warmer in color, so the design looks more like gold.
