Soennecken 222 Extra Red Lizard Vintage Celluloid Fountain Pen
This vintage pen has seen regular use and shows noticeable wear throughout, with clear signs of handling and surface wear in the way of small scratches and ink staining on the pen threads. Despite its age, this pen remains fully operational and continues to deliver exceptional performance.
It is equipped with a 14k Double Broad Soennecken crown nib, and fills via a unique Soennecken “click” Piston Filling Mechanism. To activate the piston, you pull the spring-loaded piston cap away from the body of the pen and turn to push the piston into place to fill the pen. As you fill the pen and come to the end, you will eventually hear an audible “click”, locking the piston cap in place. It does not come with a box or papers. There is some abnormal celluloid production striations on one side of the body of the pen (see last image).
