The Fujiyama honors Japan’s most enduring symbol—Mount Fuji—through a remarkable fusion of urushi, raden, and rankaku artistry. Each pen is crafted by hand in Taccia’s Wajima Urushi Studio, where fragments of quail eggshell and abalone shell are meticulously inlaid beneath layers of deep lacquer. The result is a serene landscape rendered in texture and light.
The fractured white of the rankaku work evokes snow resting on Fuji’s peak, while the iridescent raden reflects dawn across its slopes. Against the polished black body, the mountain seems to rise through mist—a vision of permanence and calm captured in motionless form.
Fitted with Taccia’s two-tone 18K King of Pen nib, made by Sailor Japan, the Fujiyama writes with the quiet assurance of its inspiration. Limited to 88 pieces worldwide, it stands as a study in balance—strength and stillness, earth and sky—captured in urushi and gold.
Each pen includes a Sailor converter, two ink cartridges, and arrives in a velvet-lined wooden presentation box with cloth sleeve.
